Vintage Writing Bureau Gold Leaf & Decoupaged Chandeliers

£495.00

A stunning piece, perfect for traditional or contemporary interiors.

Description

Hand Painted Vintage Bureau – Originally built by the Northampton Cabinet Company and re-created into a work of art by Best Dressed Furniture.

This bold statement piece would serve as a writing desk, a laptop station, a drinks cabinet – such a versatile piece.

This is a spectacular piece. Stripped, double primed, hand-painted with 3 coats of mineral paint – embossed (subtly) using French Script raised to both sides, new gold metal drawer knobs -the legs and trim hand painted in Frechic’s King’s Gold (several coats) and decoupaged in a fibre Chandelier design. The decoupage and painting have been finished in a crystal clear top coat for added protection.

A quality and sturdy build with dovetail drawer joints, carved Queen Anne Legs, and writing pull supports.

INNER STORAGE COMPARTMENTS:

The inner storage area trim and drawers have been finished by hand using genuine gold leaf. The writing pad has been expensively finished in a stunning metallic material and treated for protection. The small drawers feature the coordinating chandelier decoupage.

As with all items of vintage & antique furniture, there may be minor evidence of wear over the decades, but in no way detracts from what can only be described as being in excellent order.

Measurements:

40cm High

60cm Wide

16.5cm Deep

The paintwork has just cured – and this beauty is now ready for collection or nationwide delivery.
